Weblog Wednesday: Around the World in 26.2 Miles

Planes, trains, automobiles — and running shoes! It’s been a heck of a week since the last edition of Weblog Wednesday.

On Thursday I spent the day resting to stave off what felt like an oncoming cold. Thankfully the extra fluids and rest worked, because the sore throat went away by the time we left for Florida on Friday morning.

As we left Nashville, temperatures were plummeting and snow was falling furiously. I am very grateful that we happened to time our trip to coincide exactly with a snowstorm that left many Tennesseans stuck in their homes.

I won’t bother recalling the trip in this post, since I live blogged all of it. But in case you missed those posts, here is a link to the first one.

The marathon itself was fun but tough because of some bad hamstring cramping I got in my left leg. But I managed to cross the finish line upright, so that’s always an accomplishment.

The rest of the trip was fun and not quite as exhausting as the marathon 😋

And now it’s Wednesday again, and I’m sitting on an airplane waiting on our flight home. Tomorrow I start my new job, which is making me feel quite nervous and excited simultaneously.

Tell me, how has your week been? Did where you live get hit by a big winter storm this past week?

Until next time,

Charlotte xoxo

  1. Good luck on your first day at the new job! Once you’re over the first day it’s smooth sailing! We were hit with a major storm! A massive rain storm almost flooded downtown and various places all over town flooded! We were supposed to go back to school Monday, but they cancelled school due to flooding. Then, we had a late start Tuesday due to residual issues with flooding AND today there was an ice storm, so ANOTHER late start. It’s supposed to begin snowing early morning and I’m praying for a snow day! It’s been a fab week back!! Can’t wait to hear how your first day goes!
