Misc. Monday: Waking Up In Vegas

…is what I’m doing today! And the next couple of days. I’m here on a work trip, so expect some live blogging from Sin City.

The last time I was here was a few years ago for a quick vacation, and I’ve got to say it wasn’t really my cup of tea. I don’t gamble and I’m allergic to smoke, so the casinos were not my fave to be honest. BUT I love shopping and spa treatments, so at least there’s that. 😉

I already warned Dear Husband that a visit to the Louboutin store may just call my name whilst here. I’ve been pining after a pair of pigalle follies in black patent leather for a while now.

Thing is, I’m already quite tall (5’9″), so shoes like these put me close to if not over 6 feet tall! So I may opt for the 85mm heel rather than the 100mm heel shown above. I would never buy Louboutin flats though – I need that red sole in my life 🙂

Tell me, what is your favorite thing to do in Vegas — Gamble? Eat? Drink? Shop? Spa? Burlesque shows? Musical acts? Day trip to the Grand Canyon?

Unfortunately since I’ll be in meetings all day I can’t go to the Grand Canyon or anything like that, but I will hopefully find time for a mani/pedi at the spa. Dear Husband, meanwhile, is tagging along and gets to go play poker while I am hard at work.

Until next time,

xoxo Charlotte

  1. Like you,the standard vegas fair doesn’t hold my attention.Gambling isn’t interesting to me and I don’t even like shopping. The people watching, though is first-rate… and at least it’s warm. Have fun!

  2. You’re like 8 hours from me! I am in Reno! I don’t really care for Vegas. I basically live in a mini Vegas, so I am over it. I am also allergic to smoke, so casinos are NASTY (but I love me some buffet!!) I would definitely say going to the spa is my FAV!! Enjoy!!
