Yet again I find myself with more than a week’s worth of life to recap on Weblog Wednesday. I blame vacation. It has a sneaky way of making one need more time off!! 😉
When last we spoke in an actual bloggy post, I was still vacationing at Walt Disney World. Now, alas, I am back home, where one of my first activities was a super fun trip to the dentist.
My first week back at work was admittedly a bit stressful, but I survived with the help of an extra Starbucks trip or two 🙂
This weekend I wasn’t feeling so great, so on Saturday after my long run we just relaxed with a pizza, wine, and college football.
Dear Husband had to go to California for a work trip this week, so on Sunday morning I had the pleasure of waking up while it was still dark to take him to the airport. I’ve been having pretty bad insomnia lately, so I wasn’t able to fall back asleep.
Instead, I decided to go check out a new comic shop in our area, and to go thrifting at Good Will. I got really lucky on my trip there and scored big on some nifty upcycling materials, as well as some new clothes for mega cheap.
Here’s a sneak preview of one of the things I upcycled. Be on the look out for a tutorial on Toast of Tuesday.
I got this skirt with ~*~pockets~*~ for $2!
Seriously, if you’re a girl, you’ll understand how epic skirts and dresses with pockets are.
This week work has been a bit better. On Monday night I met up with some girlfriends for shenanigans drinks and dinner.
How has your week been so far? Anything fun on the horizon?
xoxo, Charlotte
No much fun stuff here, I like your upcyckung ideas. I do that a little with stuff plus lots of repairing.
I can’t appreciate what skirts with pockets are like, but I know that trousers without pockets would be useless to me.

Thank you! I really have fallen in love with upcycling. It’s a great way to keep things out of landfills, plus it’s hella cheap. Sounds like you are pretty handy as well! I still need to learn to work with power tools lol.
And yes, pockets are amazing!! It baffles me that more clothiers don’t add pockets to skirts!
