Happy Monday, everybody!
For today’s installment of Miscellaneous Monday, I am excited to accept the Versatile Blogger Award, nominated by Jam over at Leaves et Livres. Thank you, Jam! When the nomination came, I spent a good two hours just reading through all of her other nominees — and discovered some new blogs in the process! I think that’s one of my greatest pleasures in blogging, that moment when you find yourself clicking through various links and stumble upon a new (to you) blog that you instantly know you’ll love.
Anyway, here’s how the award works. Give seven facts about yourself and nominate 15 other blogs. This is a fantastic way to discover new blogs.
So, seven facts about me…
One. When I cook, I blast music and dance around the kitchen, singing along to whatever’s on and making up dance moves.

Two. I love cosplaying. Even when I run, such as in this 5k where I made a Captain America running cosplay. It should be noted, however, that I did not run with the Lego head on! I borrowed it from Dear Fiancé just for a few funny photos.

Three. I’m an only child and have always wished I had siblings. If Dear Betrothed and I have children, I would probably like to have two, since I dislike being an only child.

Four. As a child I always knew I wanted to be a Disney animator when I grew up. It’ll take a whole post to explain what derailed that plan, but I do still really love drawing even though I’m now a statistician in a very conservative, math-y field. When Dear Betrothed proposed, I drew a little comic book about us. Here’s one of the pages, and a sneak peak at where my Gravatar picture is from!
Five. I’m obsessed with macarons. (Not macaroons — blech! I hate coconut!). Good macarons are hard to come by. Actually, macarons in general are hard to come by since they are tricky to make and almond flour is expensive. One day, I hope to make them well! For now, my shells always end up crackled and lumpy 😦

Six. Paris is my absolute favorite place on earth.

Seven. I’m in love with Katy Perry. Like, really in love. Dear Better Half and I have an agreement that, should the gods ever bestow such a miracle upon me, I’m allowed to kiss her. A couple of years ago he got us awesome seats to one of her concerts. I was close enough to nearly touch her. *swoon*
